Hey guys!
So I've noticed quite a few people posting hate about Valentines day. I have to say I can see both sides of the argument. On the one hand, it's totally over commercialised and expensive, and people shouldn't need a certain day of the year to show the people they love that they care for them.
But, (and this is a big but!) at the end of the day, It's nice for people to have an excuse to spoil their other halves, and get all mushy! It's like Mothers or Fathers day, you should treat your parents with the love and respect they deserve every day, but it's nice to make them feel special! And, lets face it, sometimes life gets in the way and we forget to do the perfect girlfriend/boyfriend/friend routine, Valentines day can give us the kick up the bum that we need!
And if you're single pringle, (like me!), don't worry! Just take the chance to connect with someone in your life, I will be going on a cinema date with a friend :)
Anyway, ramble over! I thought I'd do a quick list of some things I wouldn't mind receiving from a secret admirer...

To my untrained nose, this scent reminds me of Parma Violets- my favourite sweets! Yum :) According to the experts though, this has heart notes of rose, apple blossom and violets (knew it!). This scent is very fruity floral, lasts of my skin for aaages, and the flowery bottle is apt for Valentines day!

These super sweet (geddit?) rings are £6.99 each, bargain! And p&p is only £1.95. I would loove any of these, they're all totally cute, but if I had to pick, the Iced Gem would be my personal fave!

There's lots of cute Valentines things out in Lush, but the Magic Mushroom Bubble Bar is the cutest in my opinion! The red bit is scented with Vanillary (one of my fave scents), and the stem smells of strawberries, combining to make a delicious strawberries and cream scent!

So, here's a few things that I wouldn't mind cupid flinging at me :) Obv, sweets, chocolates and flowers would also be acceptable.

DeleteI'm not all crazy about V day. I'm not a big fan of pink anyway, but I think it's a nice break from boring routine. A day when everybody seems to be deeply in love with their loves. There's no harm in that :p
ReplyDeleteAs for the V day wishlist, I wouldn't mind another Celine bag. I've been coveting the Trapeze and Phantom all year long. Now that it's nearing Valentine so many editorials are featuring the item in fuschia, so lovely! And a bottle of Chloe perfume would be a sweet addition. And maybe some of those iconic black cosmetics from Chanel ;p Gosh, I ask too much. Lol.

DeleteTo be honest, one of the best ways to spend VDay for me is some kind of experience - going horse riding, for a special screening to the cinema, theatre or sth else. :) And when you don't have that other person to share, you can still send a card or buy little gift for your mum/dad/sibling/friend. :) Or yourself!!! :) X

i love valentines day.. yes it is too commercialised but i like the idea of people making that extra bit effort to make someone feel special :) love those moments when i see a guy walk around the shops with a large bouquet of roses or flowers in his hands - cause i know he's about to put a smile on some girl's face :) i think it's so sweet
