Gorgeous by Gok- Review

Afternoon!

Today I though I'd review two products that I've really been enjoying recently. I got these just before Christmas, in a set I posted about here, but for some reason have only just started to use these.

The products in question are the body wash and scrub from the Gorgeous by Gok range.

Firstly, I will start with the scent. These smell amazing. I am rubbish at describing scents, so lets just say that it's spicy, sexy and totally indulgent. The scent lingers really well on the skin, but doesn't over power any fragance or spray you put on after. If there was a perfume of this smell, I would be first in line to buy it!

The body wash is perfect. A little goes a long way, lathers up really nicely and is a joy to use. Not much else to say about it really!

The shower scrub, however, is a real gem. It's more like a body wash, but with some grains in it. This also lathers up really well, and you don't need to use much, and the grains are really gentle but effective. 

Personally, I prefer this to grittier scrubs (Such as S&G The Breakfast Scrub) as it also works as a shower gel, so it's kind of a two in product! After using this, your skin is left super soft, and lightly frangranced. Because it is such a light exfoliation, it's also okay to use most days, as opposed to using a scrub just once or twice a week. 

So, overall, I would definitely recommend these, and I will be repurchasing. Now time for the bad news...I think these must only be available at Christmas. They're not on the Boots website, although I did find some on Ebay. 

When Christmas comes round again, I will deffo be stocking up on Gok Wan products :)

Anyone tried these? Do you prefer a gritty scrub, or a more gentle one?

Lil bit of Gok lovin'!

Gok Wan is one of my all time favourite people. Ever. His attitude to women, and how he appreciates the gorgeousness of every woman, no matter what her shape or size, is just beautiful. He's also hilarious, and comes across as a lovely, down to earth person. If I ever met him, I would be so star struck! (I did once have two missed calls from him, after my mum bumped into him, but that's a different story!) 

Last year I was given his autobiography 'Through thick and thin', which is an amazing read. Sad at times, but often funny, and always well written, you can get it from Amazon for around a fiver. I've also got two of his fashion and styling books, 'How to dress: Your complete guide for every occasion', and 'How to look good naked: Shop for your shape and look amazing!', which are, unsurprisingly, fabulous. 

So, what I'm basically trying to say, anything Gok does, from TV programmes, to books, to underwear, is a hit with me. 

One thing I've never tried, is his bathing range, available at Boots.

But that's all set to change! As I've bought the Gorgeous by Gok- Totally gorgeous vanity case. This was on special offer for £22, usually £45.

Recently I've been looking for a handy sized box, to put at the side of my bed, full of my 'bedtime bits' as I call them! Bedtime bits include hand cream, moisturiser, spot treatments, and hair serum. Basically things that I like to let sink in overnight. I thought it would be very handy to have them all together in one handy box, and viola!

But you don't just get a handy box, oh no! You also get:

• Puff- These seem to come with every bathing gift set, but they're always handy to have! 
• Sensational 'liquid gold' body wash 200ml
• Sensational 'deluxe gold' body butter 180ml
• Sensational 'liquid gold' bath essence 200ml
• Rich moisturising body butter 180ml
• Shower scrub 200ml
• Body wash 200ml

I'm not even going to attempt to describe the scent, but what I will say is that it is heavenly! Sortof spicy and decadent, and just lovely! I'm not too sure on the 'liquid gold' products, although they look gorgeous, I'm not really of fan of glittery or shimmery skin, at least not on myself. 

I think this is really good value, especially if you buy it and split the products into presents for different people, although I'll probably end up keeping them all for myself!

Obviously I can't comment on how they work, but I've got high hopes for them! And I'll let you know how I get on with them :)
