There's been a bit of a sunny spell in England the last few days, and although I'm much more of a winter girl, it did make me want to have nice summery nails.
I used two favourites for this look, Topshop nail varnish in minted, which is my go to mint green/bluey shade, and Models Own nail art pen in white.

I'm not doing a Wednesday Wants post this week, mainly because I managed to accidentally buy all of the things on my wishlist this week...whoops. No makeup or skincare though, so as far I'm aware I haven't broken my ban! Expect a haul post/video soon :)
So, anyway, on to the point! My nails :)
I finally got round to using my fruit nail art things that I bought from Ebay a while a go, and I'm so impressed!
I'm not sure why these nails were so hard to photograph, but I hope you get the idea! As you can see, I used the strawberry slices, I think they are sooo cute!
I used a Collection 2000 nail varnish, but all the writing has worn off, so I don't know what It's called. The brush is really good though, as it's quite wide, and you can cover your nail in two strokes. The dots were made with my trusty Models own nail art pen, and I stuck the strawberries on with nail glue. I had work today, fiddling with coat hangers, tidying, working on tills, and my nail decals are still going strong! I was worried they'd fall off easily, but it doesn't look like they'll be budging anytime soon!
I've got lots of other fruit slices to play with, but I can't think of any other designs to do, any ideas?!
As the title suggests, this is a post on the nails I am sporting at the mo.
I'm wearing Stargazer white polish and Models Own Ibiza Mix. I have really fallen in love with Ibiza Mix, it's a clear gloss with different sizes, shapes and colours of glitter.
I'm going to try Ibiza Mix over a dark colour next, as that looks really nice :)

In Boots, it was two for £8 on Models Own, so I got the white nail art pen (I've not been getting on with the Ebay one!), and the Hed Kandi polish in Ibiza Mix, which I loooove.
The Eau Roma Toner water was something I picked up in Lush whilst looking for Fathers day presents (he likes soap!). It's a lovely, enjoyable product, but I think it has broken me out which is a real shame.
I had ran out of my beloved Chocomania lip butter, so went into Body Shop to repurchase. I am thinking about using it in a giveaway instead though, as I have so many lipbalms!
Whilst in the Body shop, I accidentally purchased the Fuzzy Peach bath and shower gel, and Watermelon body lotion, which were both on offer for £2. The fuzzy peach is the most amazing, nostalgic smell (my mum used it about ten years ago!), and the watermelon lotion smells like sherbert. Lovely :)
Last Body shop purchase was the Japanese Cherry Blossom set, with EDT and shower gel, reduced from £20, to £10.
I made an order on Illamasqua.com as I had a 15% off code. After seeing all the beautiful pictures of it in action, I bought the lipstick in Apocalips (teal). Then, a similar accident happened, and I somehow managed to buy Sonnet lipstick (peachy nude) and powder blusher in Thrust (Chicken Run, anyone?).
I haven't worn Apocalips yet, Thrust is a surprisingly wearable blusher, but Sonnet has broken my heart! It's the most beautiful shade, but it clings to dry patches sooo badly :( I am now on a lip perfecting mission, I am determined to be able to wear it!

At £16 I'm really tempted to buy this ASOS Strawberry t-shirt, unfortunately they only have size 8 in stock! I'm going to keep a beady eye on it, and hope they get some more in :) I think this would really spice up a pair of jeans, and look super cute worn oversized with leggings! I waaaant!

Next up is a product that I've heard quite a bit about on blogs and youtube videos, Essie nail varnish in Mint Candy Apple. The shop I work in recently got an Essie stand, and it is the first time I have seen them in the flesh! They all look absolutely beautiful, but this shade really stood out to me. It definitely looks better in real life than in photos! You can buy these from Boots for £7.99.
Lastly, are the Models Own and Wah nail art stickers in Pow! I couldn't find these on Boots websites, but I've seen them instore. I love the design of these and think they'd look really cute as an accent nail :) I believe these are around £8 and they come in some other designs.

I was originally intending to do a little bunny on the fingernail with the stripes(which I saw on another blog, can't remember which one!), but I couldn't manage it!
I can't wait until I'm good enough to master trickier nail designs!:(
I've been buying bits and bobs here and there for a while, thinking I would put it all together for a big collective haul. I have since realised that would be waay too much for one post, so I will be separating it out!

I'd been checking out the Revlon lip butters for a while, after hearing all the hype on youtube/blogs. For summer, I still like to wear lip colour, but my usual lipsticks can feel a bit heavy, and make me feel like I look a bit too made up. After swatching the colours, I decided that I wanted to try Candy apple, a lovely red, Lollipop, a nice bright pink with cool blue/purple undertones, and Tutti frutti, a bold orange. Now all I had to do was wait for the day when my Boots would have them all in stock! This never happened, so in the end, I managed to nab the last Candy apple from Superdrug. I then got the other two shades, and the beautiful beetlejuice nail varnish in Boots with their 3 for 2 offer.
At the Models Own section, I saw that they finally had some other colours of my beloved nail art pen, so I added them to my basket as well!
I haven't had much chance to try out the lip butters yet, but when I do, I'll make sure to do a review. This is the first time I've tried a Models Own nail varnish, and I'm not very impressed with the formula, although the colour is lovely.
I can't wait to try and create some really bright nail designs with my new colours, I may attempt something easter-y!

So, today I randomly decided to put false nails on for the first time ever! A while ago I bought these fake nails which I was going to use to make my own kind of nail wheel with, only without the wheel!
I thought it would be nice to paint them with all my different nail varnishes, making it easier to decide which colour I wanted to wear.
I decided to put them on today, as I've been trying really hard to grow my nails for ages, but they're quite weak and break off when they get to a certain point.
After I had put the falsies on, I spent aaages filing them down, as they were so long! I then painted them, here's the finished result :)
I used Minted from Topshop (can't find it to link to on the website!) and my Models own nail art pen.
I've branched out a bit with the heart, as spots are usually all I can do. Would of been quite nice for valentines day actually!
Didn't manage a heart on the right hand though, I need more practice! I love the Minted colour, It's so bright and eye catching! :)
Fashionista have been quite talked about over youtube and blogs, and are known for their magnetic nail varnishes fronted by The Saturdays. I popped into Superdrug to have a little look at them, but I was shocked at the prices! The varnishes alone were £6 and then you have to buy the magnet for £3! In Boots you can get the 17 version of the magnetic polish for £5.99 which has a magnet in the lid!
While at the Fashionista stand, I fell in love with the shimmery, gorgeous shades of eyeshadow, and noticed that they had an offer on. The individual eyeshadows were £4 each, but if you bought a quad (usually £5), and bought four eyeshadows to fill it, you could get it for £12! Which would be the price of 3 eyeshadows usually! Bargain, and I thought it would be rude not to pick some up! So I bought two quads, in the red design as I thought they looked classier than the black , logo-covered version, and 8 eyeshadows.

As you can see, these shades are gorgeous! Really nice and shimmery, but a kind of grown up shimmer, nothing overly glittery. The pigmentation is good, but not amazing, it took a few goes to build up the intensity on my hand, but I think a good eyeshadow primer would help with that. I haven't actually tried these on the eyes yet, but I'll give you an update when I do!
Next, I thought I'd show you a nail combo I've been loving. It's Barry M's Peach Melba and Model's own Nail art pen in Black. The result is this...

This nail art pen is so handy, if you pull off the cap, there's a nib to do dots and designs, and you can also unscrew the bottle, for a long, thin brush to do lines etc. I've been loving polka dot nails, and have worn this for about a month, just changing the colour underneath, reds and blues look lovely with polka dots!
