Hey guys,
today I'm going to write about my perfume collection. I was going to do a blusher collection, but I could only find two, and that's not much of a collection!
When it comes to perfume, I tend to prefer really sweet smelling ones, and vanilla is my favourite scent. I'm not very good at describing how things smell, but I'll have a bash!
Firstly, my all time faves, anything by Britney Spears! Not only do I love the woman herself, every perfume she brings out is an instant hit with me!
These are the ones I have with me at the moment, from left to right, Britney Spears Cosmic Radiance, Midnight Fantasy 100ml and 30ml, Fantasy, and Circus Fantasy.
- Cosmic Radiance- According to the Britney website, the main noticeable notes in this fragrance are citrus, vanilla, musk , sandalwood and amber. To the untrained nose, (i.e mine), when I smell this I think of fabric softener. That doesn't sound particularly pleasing as a perfume, but I really like it. It's a very fresh and comforting smell. I didn't think I'd like this as much as the previous perfumes, because it's not as sugary sweet or strong scented, but this is very nice for an every day, daytime perfume, and I feel It's quite a grown up smell.
- Midnight Fantasy- This is my favourite perfume ever and I repurchase this every time it runs out! Again according to the website, the main notes are sour cherry, plum, vanilla, freesia, amber and musk. To me, this is very sweet and vanilla-y but in a kind of dark, musky, slightly sour (but nice!), way...I'm so bad at describing scents! I know some people find this a bit much for day time, and just wear it at night, but It's not something I've got a problem with.
- Fantasy- Main notes are white chocolate, kiwi, red litchi, orchid and jasmine. This is quite like midnight fantasy, but less sour and musky. Very sweet again, and quite a heavy scent, it's definitely not a subtle scent! Love it.
- Circus Fantasy- When I first got this one I didn't like it all, but it's definitely grown on me. It's still quite sweet, but in more of a fruity way than the other fantasy perfumes. Main notes are raspberry, apricot, vanilla and orchid. This one kind of reminds me of a shampoo, I'm not sure why, but it's not as strong or noticeable as the other Fantasy's, it's definitely more subtle.
Next, I've got two of the Harajuku Lovers perfumes, which I wanted mainly because the bottles and packaging were so cute!
The two I've got are Love and Lil' Angel, I totally want some more though, they look totally cute on any vanity/cabinet/other furniture!
- Love- according to the net, the main notes are peach, jasmine, vanilla and rose. To me, this does smell quite floral, and the rose scent is pretty noticeable. This is light and subtle, really nice, but nothing special!
- Lil' Angel- Main notes are pineapple, raspberry, blackcurrant, violet and rose. This is very sweet, juicy and fruity, and doesn't smell like anything else i've tried. I think I might pop out and buy some more of this soon, doing this post has reminded me how much I liked it!
Next, I've got Nina by Nina Ricci.
- Main notes apparently, are green apple, praline, lemon and peony. This is quite a musky, floral smell, and I really like it, but unfortunately I don't think it smells very nice on me! One of my best friends, Heather, has worn this ever since I've known her, it really suits her and everytime I get a whiff of it I think of her!
A recent purchase, was a set of three mini Juicy Couture rollerballs, which I bought because I was interested in trying some new perfumes, and it was on sale in Boots for £4!
As you can see, I've managed to lose one of the perfumes, which is annoying as it was the one I liked the most!
- Viva La Juicy- Main notes are caramel, vanilla, praline, mandarin and honeysuckle. This is my favourite, I really love this! Its sweet and warm, and just lovely to wear!
- Couture Couture- Main notes are plum, jasmine, honeysuckle and orange flower. I'm not a massive fan on this, just because I prefer overly sweet, girly perfumes, and this smells quite grown up and heavy.
- Juicy Couture- Main notes ruberose, lily, watermelon and caramel. I like this one alot more than couture couture, but I still don't find myself reaching for this very often. This is more floral and sweet than Couture couture, and seems to sit a lot better on my skin.
Last, but certainly not least, my most recent fragrance purchase, Dior's Hypnotic Poison.
- Hypnotic Poison- The main note in this is vanilla which is probably why I love it so much! Other main notes are almond, coconut and sandalwood. This is the most expensive perfume I own, and I spent months lusting over it before I took the plunge and just got it! This is really dark and musky, and makes me think of ice cream, and all things sweet, but in a slightly more grown up way than Britney Spears' Fantasy. This last's all day on the skin, and is just perfect! The bottle is absolutely gorgeous and luxurious looking as well!
So, that's the end of my perfume collection, I hope I wasn't too rubbish at describing them! I'm off out to buy Harajuku Lovers Lil' Angel, I'm obsessed with pineapple at the moment, and this has pineaple in it, so maybe that's why I've fallen so in love with it doing this post!
Thanks for reading :)
P.S My Perfume wishlist at the moment includes Viktor and Rolf's Flowerbomb and Prada Candy. What's on your perfume wishlist?
I love Britney's Curious! It was so expensive when it first came out, but now you can get it anywhere for cheap, like Wal-Mart. I think my favorite perfume might be Burberry Brit. I got some for my birthday a few years ago and I'm still holding on to it.
